NT Gas is committed to the health and safety of our people, the public and the protection of the environment within which we operate.

Our health, safety and environmental management systems applies to all of our people as well as contractors, visitors, products and services.

The structure of our management systems ensures legal compliance by establishing and applying nationally and internationally recognised standards in health, safety and environmental performance.
These systems are based on the requirements found in:

• AS/NZS ISO 14001, Environmental Management Systems; and
• AS/NZS ISO 4801, Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.

The focus of our systems is prevention rather than correction.  This philosophy is fostered into NT Gas' culture and enforces the concept of continual improvement into everyday work practices.  All personnel accepting accountability, not only for their own safety, but also the safety of those they are working with underpin this culture.

Our systems have been designed to be flexible and easily tailored to identify, mitigate and monitor health, safety and environmental risks associated with each project or contract NT Gas manages.
